A valid XML sitemap still needs clean, indexable URLs

A sitemap can parse correctly while listing redirects, 404 pages, noindex URLs or duplicate parameters. Syntax is only the first check in a crawl-quality review.
Interpreting the result
Include canonical 200-status URLs that the site intends to index, keep host and protocol consistent and use sitemap indexes when limits require them. Compare submitted and discovered counts in Search Console.
Limits and common mistakes
This local checker does not crawl every listed URL or prove indexing. Search engines can ignore entries based on robots directives, canonical selection, duplication or content quality.
