About this tool
Image to Text OCR recognizes printed English, Arabic or mixed text in JPG, PNG, WebP and BMP images. The recognition engine and selected language data run in the browser; results remain editable so you can correct names, numbers and layout errors before copying.
How to use
- 1Choose a clear, upright image.
- 2Select the recognition language.
- 3Extract, proofread and copy the text.
Benefits
- English and Arabic recognition.
- Editable output.
- No image upload to ToolBlur.
Treat OCR output as a draft, not a certified transcript
Practical example
A sharp screenshot with dark text on a plain background is usually recognized more reliably than a tilted receipt with shadows. Crop unrelated areas and use the largest readable source before running recognition.
Interpreting the result
Compare names, totals, dates, decimal separators and similar-looking characters such as O/0 or I/1 with the image. Preserve paragraph breaks only after checking that the page layout was understood correctly.
Limits and common mistakes
Handwriting, decorative fonts, low contrast, complex tables and mixed writing directions can reduce accuracy. Do not use unverified OCR for legal, medical, financial or identity records.
Frequently asked questions
Is OCR always accurate?+
No. Blur, handwriting, decorative fonts and low contrast reduce accuracy.
Why is language data downloaded?+
The browser needs the trained recognition data for the selected language.
